Andrew,Matt and John represented our club at this meet. Andrew had an awesome weekend achieving 5 top 10 places and swimming 2PBs. Andrew also earned all our club's points and we finished the meet in 28th place!
Matt had a sensational meet swimming 6 PBs from 5 events and achieving another 2 National Open Q times in events which at the start of the season appeared unattainable. Andrew and Matt head off to Hobart in 2 weeks with 20 National Open Q times between them.Both boys have had the luxury of choosing which events to drop which is a problem that you don't mind so much as a swimmer!
John was meant to use the 200 IM as a warm up for his age 400 Free - which was only 15 mins later. Being the true competitor that he is he pulled out a PB in his 50m Fly split and went on tho do a 2 sec pb in the event. The 400m Free was ultimately not a PB but an awesome 30 mins of swimming nevertheless. John swam a 3 sec PB in his 400 Im and pb splits iat the 50m and 100m marks of his 200 Breast
