CHS 2009

Day 1.
Andrew, John and Matt had a sensational day at CHS. Andrew won silver in the 100 Back after going sub 1 minute in the heats swim and was 4th in the 400IM and 5th in the 200 Free. Matt swam PBs in the heats of the 100 Back and 200 Free to Qualify for the finals. John won Bronze in the 400 IM after also swimming a PB in the 200m Free final.
Thank you to Jenny and Terry who were both in on the day to support our swimmers
Day 2
Relay day! It was a cast of 1000's and we ended up sitting by the diving pool just so that we could get some space.
Matt's WHS relay team broke the State 17+ record in the heats after Matt took it out in a PB split. John, Georgie, Tom, Andrew, Bec and Ebony all made it through to the finals in their relay events as well.
Bec, John and Andrew swam PBs in their Breaststrokes to make it through to the finals. Elise also qualified for the finals but could not top the PB that she swam recently to qualify for Australian age :)
The day finished with some great finals performances but none better than Matt's WHS team again breaking the State record in an exciting finish which meant holding off a star studded team from Westfield Sports HS
Day 3
Another great day at the office. The cast of 1000's had gone and we could now see the pool without binoculars.
John got the day off to a great start with a 6th place + PB in the 400 Free. Andrew swam a great swim to win silver in the 200IM. John and Elise both swam PBs in the 200m IM. Rebecca swam in her first CHS final (100 Fly). Matt finished 5th in the 100 Free, 8th in the 100 Fly and 7th in the WHS Meldey relay and swam 4 PBs on the day.
