What a fantastic night we had!
Congratulations to all our swimmers and their families for their enthusiasm on the night. The warm response that every child received - right down to the last name to be read out - was a real feature of the night.
It was a night that had a bit of everything. Andrew Kennedy's 10 yr achievement, the National Team Presentation and the Inaugural Hall of Fame awards were special moments. How about the ovation that Terry received when he was called up to receive the Go Club award (we were in the top 30% of the clubs in Australia) and again when our new coach Jenny was formally introduced to everyone!
The DVD presentation was the highlight of the night. To see the photos of all our kids over the season on the big screen, and to listen to them laugh and cheer is extremely heartwarming. Again, the video of the 10/u boys winning State - this time to the tune of the 'Boys are Back in Town' which was extremely fitting we thought - brought the house down. You would think that we didn't know the result the way the kids hung on every stroke!
Thank you to everyone involved to bring about a special night to celebrate what has been an amazing season. Well done everyone :)
