National Schools Championships Brisbane

NCAQ is well well represented at these championships being held in Brisbane this week.
Day 1 - Andrew Kennedy, Vice Captain of the NSW Team, kicked off his campaign with a Gold in the 200 IM and also a relay gold. Chris Hoare won a relay Gold and Nick Hards placed 6th in the 10 yrs 200 IM (and also swam in a relay for the ACT Team!)
Day 2 - Chris and Andrew both win Silver. Chris swam an amazing 31.8 PB in his 50 Fly to just miss out on a gold medal and Andrew won his Silver in both the 200 Free and the 200 Back (PB).
Day 3 - Andrew wins Gold in the 200 Breast (PB). Chris wins Gold in the 50 Free (PB) and proud mum Kate tries very hard to hold it together :)
Day 4 - Chris and Nick had a day off today but Andrew had a huge day at the office. Andrew won Gold in the 100 Back and 400 IM and Silver in the 100 Free. Andrew will fly home tonight (back to yr 12 and schoolwork) well satisfied with his efforts in Brisbane.
Andrew was awarded Age Champion 17+ yrs. Nick was awarded the Citizenship award. It is nice to know that the NSW team also recognises what a great team player Nick is and someone you always want on your side!
Chris finished up his week with a Gold medal in the final day's relays.
