15 swimmers and their families made the trip to Forster. The plan was to play on Saturday and swim on Sunday. The fact that the surf was a re-creation of Big Wednesday did not deter our kids and they had an absolute ball while we parents tried not to look  and were glad that coach Jen was at the IM camp!

The sand dunes were another highlight and of course improvisation took place. A ramp was built and bodies were hurled down the slope on body boards and consequently getting great air  - and sometimes missing the landing pad altogether and going off the 2m drop!

It was Lauren's birthday and we hope she felt special as it was her participation that gave us our 12/u mixed relay.

The meet  was a great team event with both 12/u and Open relays winning Gold.  The Dash 4 Cash events were exciting with Matt and Andrew  won 1st and 2nd in the 13/o male, Rebecca was 3rd in the 13/o females and Chris was 2nd in the Junior Dash 4 Cash.

Matt swam a State Open Q time in his first competitive 200 IM since he was 12 and also a silver in his 1st 50m Breaststroke in as long a time. Jake and Marcus Baggaley each swam many PBs with Jake also achieving a State Open 200m Breast time.

Rebecca swam her first meet since her broken elbow and she was on fire winning lots of medals and even swimming 1 100m IM PB.. Ebony had a fantastic meet and also qualified for the Dash 4 Cash - as did Tim and Tyler and Marcus. Lauren McKillop won a trifecta of medals :)

Whilst the medal tally will be big (when the results become available) the real success of the trip was that we all had a great weekend away.
